Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Transportation & Logistics Manager to oversee and manage our transportation and logistics operations in Kolkata. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of transportation systems, logistics management, and supply chain processes. You will be responsible for coordinating the movement of goods, optimizing transportation routes, and ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining cost-efficiency and quality service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Logistics Management: Coordinate and oversee all aspects of transportation and logistics to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
• Route Optimization: Plan and implement effective transportation routes to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
• Inventory Management: Oversee inventory control processes, ensuring proper tracking and timely distribution of goods.
• Vendor Management: Build and maintain relationships with transportation vendors, freight companies, and suppliers. Negotiate pricing and service agreements.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure all logistics operations comply with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
• Team Management: Supervise and train a team of logistics staff and drivers. Foster a culture of teamwork and high performance.
• Cost Management: Monitor and control logistics budgets, working to reduce transportation costs while ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods.
• Reporting: Maintain and prepare regular reports on transportation performance, cost analysis, and delivery timelines for senior management.
• Problem-Solving: Address and resolve any logistical or transportation issues that arise, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
• Customer Service: Work closely with the customer service team to ensure customer orders are delivered on time and meet quality standards.

Requirements:

• Education: Any Graduate. A degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field is a plus.
• Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience in transportation and logistics management.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of logistics software, transportation regulations, and supply chain management principles.
• Skills: Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, strong communication and negotiation skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Leadership: Proven experience in managing and leading a team effectively.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on efficiency and cost-saving solutions.
