Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Retail Sales Associate to support our sales team in achieving exceptional customer service and driving sales growth. The candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies, and ensuring that sales targets are met and supervising dispatch of order and follow up on sales.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales Leadership
- Support business in upselling, cross-selling, and promoting high-margin products.
- Stay updated on market trends, customer preferences, and competitors to adjust strategies accordingly.
- Lead by example in fostering a customer-centric, results-driven mindset across the team
- Support the business in managing the inventory for the exhibition in order to have sufficient stock to achieve the desired target.
2. Sales Strategy
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drives sale performance and achieve sales targets.
- Spearhead new product introduction as per the business needs and continuously provide feedback to merchandising teams on product performance.
- Analyze, monitor and create reports regarding sales performance pre, post and during exhibition for data driven decision making.
3. Customer service
- Ensure exceptional customer service is delivered at all times, fostering long-term customer relationships.
- Calculate and share the estimates upon making the sale.
- Confer with team to discuss issues, coordinate activities or resolve problems to facilitate execution excellence.
- Close deals, handle queries and complaints of the customer and address them with the right solution.
4. Sales Targets
- Analyze sales data to identify opportunities for improvement, such as identifying high-performing products or weak sales areas.
- Responsible to achieve the individual sales target and execute the companys strategies to enhance the business profit.
- Regularly monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports to track individual and team performance.
- Prepare and present sales reports to senior management with actionable insights and recommendations.
5. Inventory Management
- Knowledge about inventory levels and able to upsell or offer alternatives when products are out of stock.
- Review order placement and order receipt (stock, customer, repair orders) to prevent any mistakes and spot any issues.
6. Visual Merchandising
- Oversee the proper display of merchandise to attract customers and align with brand guidelines.
- Work closely with inventory and visual merchandising teams to ensure the store's layout and product placement optimize sales.
- Assist in researching emerging products and use information to update the stores merchandise.
7. Training and Development
- Contribute towards development of talent for the department by providing direct reports with adequate exposure and growth opportunities.
- Take overall responsibility for the training need analysis and completion of mandatory training programs/certifications (product training/policy training) for self & team.
8. Budgeting and Cost Control
- Manage sales-related expenses, including labor costs, promotional budgets, and commissions.
- Ensure that the team works within budget constraints while maximizing sales revenue.
9. Reporting and Analysis
- Proactively maintain a current awareness of the product activities and status.
- Provide accurate documentation and reporting in a timely manner and involve in process improvement and SOP updates.
- Maintain attendance and movement register to get track of walk-in customers and employees respectively.
- Review and provide regular and ad-hoc reports to management and other stakeholders as required.
